MaryAnne Shults has been the webmaster for STPR since 1996 and not only maintains that role but serves as the event's co-press officer. A Rochester, New York-area native, she is the owner of a Southern California-based web development business and a freelance journalist and public relations adviser. She is currently an associate professor in the journalism department of Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California where she advises the student news production and teaches courses in mass media, multimedia news reporting/social media and blogging and data reporting.

The American Rally Association (ARA) announced Subaru of America as the first national-level sponsor for the 2017 ARA National Championship.

As the inaugural year for ARA, the support and sponsorship of automotive industry icon Subaru of America is a key development for the new series. Subaru of America confirmed today that defending eight-time Rally America champion David Higgins and former four-time Rally America Champion Travis Pastrana will return to Subaru Rally Team USA to support factory race efforts in stage rally. Subaru driver Higgins earns third straight STPR victory

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins continued his recent dominance of the Waste Management Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR) with a faultless performance this weekend, earning him his third straight victory there.

Higgins, with co-driver Craig Drew, won all but two of the event’s 13 competition stages at the wheel of their 2016 Subaru WRX STI rally car. Higgins’ chief rival and Subaru teammate Travis Pastrana was forced to withdraw from the event after going off course early on the second day; Pastrana and co-driver Christian Edstrom were uninjured.
